Mr Ajit Mohan, head of WhatsApp and Facebook India, said, “Payments have begun on WhatsApp in India and now people can also send money through WhatsApp.”

For this, WhatsApp has tied up with five big banks for payment service. These include Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India and JIO Payments bank.
